Leading Gynecologists in New York City

Adaptive Gynecology is a new practice born of the friendship of old friends. Dr. Katherine Economos and Dr. Yael Fuchs worked as colleagues in the same obstetrics and gynecology department in Brooklyn, N.Y for 25 years: Dr. Economos as Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and Dr. Fuchs as the department’s leading private solo obstetrician-gynecologist. They have now left their respective successful practices to form a new one—one that brings forth their collective broad experience in all aspects of gynecologic healthcare.

Approach to Patient Care

Dr. Economos’ and Dr. Fuchs’ goal is to develop long-term interactive relationships with their patients. Their mission is to help their patients adapt to the many gynecologic changes that occur throughout their lifetime, such as teenage to young adult womanhood, pre-menopause to menopause, menopause to the geriatric years, and, increasingly, from cancer to survivorship. Within this framework lies their ability to treat, in the office setting, the many gynecologic conditions that present themselves with clinical expertise, compassion, and respect.
